Music @ St Andrews

The St Andrews Church community enjoys a rich tradition of Choral music in an Anglican style which incorporates hymns and choir anthems both old and new. The music is led by our Director of Music, Mr Mark Eyre.

Director of Music Mark Eyre taught at St Peter’s School for seventeen years and was Director of Music and Performing Arts until his appointment to St Andrew’s Church. Mark has had a long interest in choral music stemming from his own school days. He was also Deputy Conductor of the National Male Choir of NZ until 2008.

Mark is a keen organist and is eager to encourage others to also play.  His website business, Toccata Music, sells sheet organ music and can be found at Toccata Café in the ‘Pink Church’ directly across the road from St Andrew’s.

The Organ of St Andrews

The Pipe Organ in St Andrews church has a reputation as a fine instrument and has been enjoyed by many worshippers and Organists alike. We are in the process of developing a page devoted to the history of this instrument along with photos.

  1. Hi Andrew,
Always enjoy reading the various catergories. It’s great getting us out to the wider community. Take care!
